FAQ
ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH A DENOMINATION?
We're nondenominational, but are inspired by mainstream evangelical Christian teachings.
Are you a ministry, a mission, or somETHING in between?
We see our primary role as connecting Christians and Muslims, as these interactions are not common enough. Most evangelical Christians don't know a Muslim and vice versa. Commands in the Bible to love, serve, and share Christ with our neighbors cannot be fulfilled if we aren't spending time around them.
How do we define success?
When connections are made between Christians and Muslims; when the basic message of Christianity is shared (and when Muslims feel they have been heard and understood); when Christians and Muslims are inspired to connect more often; and when the watching world sees that Christians are generous, honest, yet gentle toward other religious groups (Colossians 4:5-6, Matthew 5:16).
ARE YOU AN "Interfaith" Group?
We prefer not to use this term, even as we are connecting people of different faiths. Historically, this term is sometimes associated with diminishing differences between faiths for the sake of unity. We believe differences are what make relationships with people of other faiths worthwhile, not just similarities. We prefer language like "Christian-Muslim dialogue."
